Bishop Walter L. Hawkins
In the early seventies God planted the seed for this ministry in the heart of a maturing young man from Oakland, California named Walter Hawkins. Walter accepted God’s call to pastor, attended seminary, received his ministerial license, and was ordained by his pastor, Bishop E. E. Cleveland of the Ephesians Church of God in Christ in Berkeley, California. From there, Walter established Love Center Church in 1972.
Pastor Hawkins grew Love Center exponentially over the years and in 2000 he was consecrated to the bishopric. Having passed away in 2011, Bishop Walter Hawkins leaves a rich legacy of ministry.

Min. MaryCatherine Cross
MaryCatherine Cross is a called, anointed, and appointed teacher whose greatest joy is teaching and sharing praise and worship, the ministry to and for which every believer is especially created and called. Her earnest desire is that the Body of Christ, whatever denomination, be able to come together joyfully as one, bringing our offerings of praise and worship before the throne of God in love and experiencing His manifest presence and glory.
MaryCatherine has been a worship leader for more than 40 years and a conference speaker/teacher over 30 years. She is the cofounder and director of the Worship Warriors, Love Center Ministries’ praise and worship ministry, entrusted with the awesome privilege of leading God’s people into the acknowledgment of the Presence of the Lord through songs of praise and worship. She was licensed and ordained in 2014 and serves with Love Center Ministries, Inc. Ministers Board. MaryCatherine also served as the Office Manager for Love Center Ministries for 25 years and as Executive Assistant to the preeminent Bishop Walter Hawkins for more than 21 years. She still serves with the Worship Warriors and is currently a Co-Lead with Love Center’s Ecclesial Council. She is also the CEO of Mac & Me, LLC, the home entity of Walkin’ Waggums Pet Services and 180 Wellness Network

Min. Rusty Watson
On a “chance” meeting on an elevator with the great Edwin Hawkins in 1984, Rusty was invited to be part of The Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts Seminar and initially was hired to be the Fashion Director of its’ arts component. Then onto serving in various capacities as a clinician, songwriter, singer and eventually running the seminar as its’ National Conference Coordinator.
In 1985 Edwin introduced Rusty to his younger brother, Bishop Walter Hawkins and while still living in St. Louis, Rusty joined Love Center Ministries in 1988.
He later, at the personal invitation of Bishop Hawkins, moved to Oakland and became the Music Director of the renown Love Center Choir.
Where he still serves today. Rusty also serves humbly with his fellow co-creators on The Ecclesial Council of the ministry.
God has afforded Rusty the opportunity to travel the world spreading the word in song working with a virtual who’s who in gospel music,
including, Andrae & Sandra Crouch, Daryl Coley, Rickey Dillard, Bishop T.D. Jakes’ Potters House Choir, BeBe Winans, The O’neal Twins
& The Interfaith Choirs 20th Anniversary albums, for which he was nominated for a Stellar Award – Producer and Walter Hawkins & Love Center Choirs Love Alive V project for which he was nominated for a Grammy Award (Vocal Director).

James Edmond
Mr. Edmond has been an active member of Love Center Ministries for more than 45 years and has acted in a number of roles that include former board member (Corporate Treasurer) and choir member. Professionally, Mr. Edmond has worked as a Corporate Executive, Business Manager, Project Manager, and/or Consultant in a variety of fields and across industries throughout the USA and in more than eleven foreign countries. Having navigated two parallel careers as an Information Technology Professional and Artist Manager in Music Entertainment for more than 25 years; managing the careers of the late Edwin Hawkins; Earnest Pugh; DJ Roger; and the late Walter Hawkins, Mr. Edmond has acquired skills that are applicable and transferable. These include core competencies in technology, mergers and acquisitions, business and brand development, copyrights, copyrights administration, financial analysis, manufacturing and distribution, marketing, advertising, contract review, project management, and technologies/music licensing. Additionally, Mr. Edmond is a licensed attorney in California. Mr. Edmond holds a B.S. Degree (Mathematics and Physics) and a J.D. (Doctor of Jurisprudence) Degree with emphasis on matters related to Intellectual Property Law.

Jacqueline Thomas
Jacqueline Thomas became a member of LCM in 1986. She has served and supported many auxiliaries and departments of the ministry with passion and love for the Lord. Jacqueline is also a business owner of T&J Progressive Preschool School-Age Program and served on her local school board for many years. Her love and passion for the community has inspired her to open her second business, T&J Tutoring Club, which was even voted best in the city she currently resides.

K. Darnell Williams
K. Darnell Williams became a member of LCM over 15 years ago, and he has worked on many committees during his time. He is a member of the Armed Forces – US Air Force. He holds a BA degree in Liberal Studies from Cal State East Bay, and presently employed by Alameda County. In his spare time, he enjoys attending live concerts.

Daryl Williams
Professionally, Daryl has been a college financial aid administrator since January 1986. He enjoys his work and is well respected in his field. Daryl’s LOVE is working for his church, Love Center Ministries, INC. With or without a title, it is Daryl’s absolute pleasure to serve his ministry in any capacity. Daryl has served as Young Adult Choir’s Vice-president and its President, The Love Center Choir’s Vice-President and its President, served as Vice -Chairman and interim Recording Secretary for the BOG, and now serve as the BOG’s Recording Secretary. Further, Daryl has acquired and applied new skills he did not know he had- operating a complex digital screen system for the various services at the church which, while a lot of work, has only enhanced our services.
